Dear Brothers and Sisters in Scouting all over the World
The World Council of the WFIS wish you and all your Scouts and Guides a
“Happy Thinkingday, Happy Foundersday”
Today we want to remember the Founder of Scouting, Robert Stephenson Smith Baden Powell – Lord of Gilwell, and his wife Lady Olave St. Clair.
As you celebrate Thinkingday and Foundersday with your Scout Groups, Scout Troops and Wolfpacks today, remember your Scout brothers and sisters who are working hard every day to help their Scouts and their community.
At a time when many of our Scout brothers and sisters are still struggling with external problems such as hunger, war and natural disasters and are doing their best every day to give their Scout children a good Scouting education. This year the Penny Action will be intended to help these Scouts with equipment and training.
If you want to participate in this year Penny Action you can contact the WFIS world council.
Let’s stand together and celebrate this annual 168. Birthday of our Founder Lord Baden Powell and the 136. Birthday of Lady Olave.
In the name of the World Council, I wish you peace, friendship and a great time with your Scouts and Guides and remember that “Together we are strongest”
Yours in traditional Scouting
Klaus Tegeder – President WFIS
