Dear Brothers and Sisters in Scouting all over the World.

The World Council of the WFIS wish you and all your Scouts and Guides a

Let us take this day to remember the Founder of Scouting, Robert Stephenson Smith Baden Powell – Lord of Gilwell, and his wife Lady Olave St.Clair.

All of us will use this day to reflect why we do traditional scouting; use it to run a „Penny action” and support with it, our Brothers and Sisters in Scouting around the World – who do have less fortune then others ́ and take it as a start for more than 7 Million Good Turns all around the World.

Let us think of those who suffer with the natural disasters or still have to life with war in their countries and celebrate the true spirit of scouting, keeping the true flame of the traditional scouting and hand it over to all our young brothers and sisters in scouting.

It is a day where we are all feel united when all Scouts and Guides are celebrating this annual 166. Birthday of our Founder Lord Baden Powell and the 134. Birthday of Lady Olave.

We wish you peace, friendship and a wonderful time with your Scouts and Guides.

Yours in traditional Scouting

Klaus Tegeder – President WFIS
